Ever feel like your body has a mind of its own?

Like it’s playing tricks on you?

Take Hassan, for example. He woke up after a long study night feeling super dizzy. “Just tired,” he thought, but even after breakfast, he felt worse!

Turns out, he’d taken iron supplements with an unusual cup of milk, alternating his daily orange juice that ran out. Sounds healthy, right? But this combo can actually cause problems!

It’s like some bad version of a superhero team-up. Iron’s the delivery truck for oxygen in your blood, but it needs some help to get in. Orange juice has vitamin C, which is usually a great sidekick and really helps with iron absorption.

Hassan’s timing was off, and something else might have interfered, too. Think of this as the process of trying to get a big delivery truck through your narrow doorway, which is iron getting into your absorption system. And, vitamin C really helps the traffic along, traffic controller-style!

But if several other “trucks,” such as calcium found in milk, which doctors often recommend avoiding when taking iron, happen to be driving through at exactly the same moment…
